Ayurveda Education Unit (AEU) is the separate unit working at Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved College, Hospital & Research Centre, under the directives of School for Health Professional Education & Research (SHPER). SHPER is a full-fledged teaching centre under the ambit of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed to be University) with a director Dr. Adarshlata Singh. This unit is working to monitor the quality of academics including teaching and assessment activities of Institute under the guidance of SHPER. Dr. Bharat Rathi is the Convener of Ayurveda Education Unit. This AEU has subunits as Curriculum (In charge – Dr. Gaurav Sawarkar), Teaching learning (In Charge – Dr. Preeti Borkar, Assessment & Evaluation (In Charge – Dr. Preeti Desai), Educational Research (In Charge – Dr. Shweta Parwe). Capacity building (In Charge – Dr. Bharat Rathi) and it conducts Basic Training Programs, advance training & innovative teaching learning activities for faculty development of Ayurveda under guidance of SHPER. It also organizes induction & orientation programs for all levels of entrants like fresher’s induction, Clinical induction, Interns’ orientation & Postgraduate induction. AEU also organizes seminars, conferences, quiz, and guest lecturers for Faculties, PGs and UGs.
